1) Will-O-Wisp I started here because of a post on our class twitter page. It was a post compiled of many different moonlight/nighttime lighting events and the pictures were catching my attentions. I chose the will-o-wisp over other frankly because I had never heard of it before and I had heard of others, for instance the northern lights. 2) Chir Batti I then was navigated to this site. I was taken here by a link underneath the image below because, well I mean look at it. It's crazy! I don't ever really have time to check out all the interesting anoucements that are posted so this little bit of time I dedicated just for that. There were many intruiging post but I, of course, found my favorite to be an article on growth mindset, perhaps because of the cat meme. Feedback from peers is a tricky thing to accomplish sometimes. Some people don't want to hurt others feelings so they may miss out on the opportunity to help others while others are not shy at all about how they feel and in some cases take critiquing too far. I have been on both ends of this chain. In most of my experience though, feedback has not been as good as it should be. We do a lot of peer reviewing in scientific writing and for in class assignments we would trade our articles and review them. Most all the time I have someone that marks mine up bad. Then when I look over it, it still seems fine to me so I submit it the way I have it and end up with a near perfect score. So in my life I have ignored peer feedback. That being said this class is different than others I have taken where this is taken place. After looking through many different stories that have to deal with tricksters I enjoyed Native American trickster stories the best. This doesn't mean that I am not open to any other kind of story type at all, theirs just stuck out the most to me. It was the start of what seemed to be just another average weekend in July for Lion, Jackal, Fox, and Wolf. Like most Fridays they all got off from their daily desk jobs, went home and cleaned up, and met up at the local pub The Sahara where “the hot animals come to cool off”. Meme of satisfied goblin created by Kasey Gill using make a meme.org For my first extra credit opportunity I read about the Jatakas tale of the Goblin City. It was, for me being a male, a horrific tale. On his shore city there lived only female goblins, much like Themyscira, from the comic book Wonder Woman. Except these goblins wanted to trick innocent sailors to their death. They would appear as women and make everything seem fine while they secretly wanted to imprison them and eat upon their flesh! Luckily for the recent batch of sailors that had found their way to the shores, there was a fairy who hated the goblins. She sent a magical flying horse much like a Pegasus, to rescue the men. Some took this opportunity and left for home while others thought there new wives were lovely beings. Unfortunately the next night the goblins made these men into their meal. Aesop's Fables: A collection of lion fables . The first story among the lion fables I found quite interesting and meaningful was "The Lion's Share" and the whole story can be found here . I will not go into great detail about the story, instead I will give you my take on the story and why I think it is quite relevant for people to ponder upon today. Please go ahead and read the whole story before hand however and then you can think about what I have to say and perhaps agree with me but also most likely disagree as well. Okay, beginning the story I thought it quite strange that the lion would befriend a jackal, wolf and fox. Lion's are usually found in prides of many lions in a group but this being a fable I brushed it off. This will become a larger role in the story as I found out after reading. So as the story goes the animals all go hunting together and catch an animal and the lion commands it to be portioned into 4 pieces. Seems fair so far, right?...

I have, for a long time, been intrigued with the stories and figured of the god's and goddesses of the Egyptians. It is clear that I am not the only one that has this admiration toward the Egyptian culture because it can be seen all over. For instance I turned on my television just last weekend and was watching a major motion picture about Horus and how he and a human went out to defeat his brother and save the human man's loved one from Osiris.
